The melamine resin surfaces of EGGER products such as EGGER Worktops are characterised by their hygienically sealed surfaces.
They are generally easy to clean, can be disinfected and also have an antibacterial effect. Therefore, EGGER melamine resin surfaces are suitable for use in shops, restaurants, doctors' surgeries and hospitals etc.
ISO 22196 - Measurement of antibacterial activity on plastic surfaces
EGGER MFC products have an antibacterial surface property in accordance with ISO 22196 (JIS Z 2801). In the tests performed, EGGER products have achieved the effectiveness of "strong".
Cleaning
EGGER melamine resin surfaces must be cleaned regularly during the service life and disinfected if necessary. The antibacterial properties are no substitute for cleaning or disinfecting the surfaces.
