To clean your laminate flooring it is recommended to use the brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Depending on the frequency of use and amount of dirt, you should also wipe the floor with a damp cloth or mop regularly. Take care to also clean the floor’s bevels in longitudinal direction.
Swelling will only occur if moisture acts on the boards for an extended period of time, therefore drying of the floor is recommended. Swelling along the edges is usually due to moisture penetrating the joints or surface of the boards from above.
Suitable cleaning and care product will not build up any layers and does not aggressively penetrate into the edge areas. Using unsuitable cleaning agents can cause layers to form, which over time may build up on the laminate flooring like a film and can thereby cloud the surface.
For optimum cleaning we recommend Clean-it, the EGGER system floor cleaner, it was especially developed for this purpose. It is available as part of our accessories range.
