As a rule, when processing laminate with protective film, the processing guidelines listed here apply, but the following points must also be taken into account.
- Storage - The use of a protective board of at least the same format not only improves flatness, but also prolongs the UV resistance of the protective film. The protective film must be removed at the latest 12 months after production of the laminates, as adhesive may otherwise be left over on the surface. (Please observe the processing instructions in chapter 3.)
- Processing - The temperature resistance of the protective film is at approximately 70°C. Therefore, the following pressing parameters must be observed: maximum pressing temperature 70 °C for a pressing time of 3 minutes at a press pressure of 3.5 kg/cm². Postforming is not possible, due to the low heat resistance of the films.
- Recycling / Disposal - The protective film can be recycled. Reuse is not possible, but the protective film may be disposed of without hazard in a waste incineration plant.
